There sure are a lot of McWhorter lines that came out of York Co., S.C. To many for us not to be related. My ancester was Hugh McWhorter who came to York Co., about 1795 with several of his children one of which was Andrew who I am a decendant of. From what I have found out he was something like the county clerk but have seen some instances where he was acting like an attorney.
