Hi Maurice.....just a long shot here from Australia....I have been trying to find the family of my gggrandmother, Sarah McVeigh, who left Armagh Ireland for Australia in 1854 to work as a domestic servant on a large Victorian Property. Sarah lists her birth place as Armagh, her year of birth as 1830, and parents as Patrick McVeigh and Mary Ann Hatherton. I have searched records, and still have not been able to find the family poor Sarah left behind. These people lost their daughter to desperate times, and probably never knew what happened to her. I have her story, and I feel a need to find her family. Do you know of any McVeigh family from Armagh Maurice who had a daughter named Sarah who left and never came home in the early 1850's?
