Thanks for the reply. Sounds like it's not likely that we are related. John McSherry (my great grandfather) arrived from Ireland. I do not know from where. Separately, Margaret (Maggie) Flanagan (his future wife, my great grandmother) also came from Ireland. They married here in the States and had 4 children, 3 girls and one boy. The boy, William (Willie) was my grandfather. He died in 1935 in Brooklyn. Maggie lived in W. 54th St in Manhattan for some time. Willie's wife, Theresa Hart (my grandmother)never got along with the McSherrys, so when Willie died (my father was only 15) at the time, contact with the McSherrys stopped. My father (now deceased) didn't know much about them.
