In 1880 census, William Jordan"Bill" McMichael and wife, Letty, are found in Llano county, TX precinct 2. where he is listed as a farmer and she as keeping house. No children are listed. I believe all the children were born in Llano County,TX.
I know that Jessie William McMichael, went to CA and I believe married and had children. He returned to Llano, TX as a very old man and lived with his sister Eliza Lee until his death. Eliza Lee married JAMES HIRAM DOUGLAS MORGAN and lived in Llano Co, TX all her life. Cora Julius married an ALLENand also lived in Llano.Co TX. Jeffie, the youngest child died young and is buried in Board Branch Cemetery in Llano Co, TX beside his maternal grandmother, Delilah Meskime Britton.
Nothing more is known by me at this time of the other children of William Jordan McMichael & Lettie Britton
On Oct 11, 1903, "Bill" McMichael was shot and killed by an acquaintance near his home. There was an inquest but no indictment. He is buried in Board Branch Cemetery in Llano Co.
Lettie Britton McMichael then married J.C. WIGGINS on April 10, 1910. No children were born to this union. Lettie died on May 27, 1937. She is buried beside Her first husband in Board Branch Cemetery
At some point in time Dolphus"Ned" McMichael was in TX but returned to GA. Nothing more is known about him at this time.
