Does he bear any resemblance to your George McLin? (Assuming you have a picture). Or do any of his descendants look like those pics, which are of John and his daughter (on the left in the other two pics)? If you click on the pictures they enlarge. When the name is said in the family, is the emphasis on the first syllable rather than the last?
