I am looking for information on my grandmother´s first cousins, John J. (JJ) and William (Billy) McLachlan (also spelled MacLachlan or McLachlin). Their parents (my grandmother´s uncle and aunt) were William McLachlan and Lenora (Nora) Conroy. I always thought her maiden name was Croft but found out it was actually Conroy. They lived in Coraopolis, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, but we lost touch with them after my great-grandmother Jean McLachlan Simpson died. Somebody said that one of them moved to St. Louis, but I could not find them there in the telephone book. Neither appear in the Social Security Death Index, so we are hoping they are both still alive. My grandmother, Janet McLachlan Simpson, who is 87, would love to be able to find her cousins. J.J. would be about 82 years old, and Billy would be about 86 years old. I found a Lenora MacLachlan in the Social Security Death Index, and she had the correct month and year of birth (August 1892). This was in Smiths, Lee County, Alabama, but I have not been able to get a copy of the obituary to see if this is the correct one. If anybody has any leads for me, my grandmother and I would sure appreciate it. My email address is russdlentz@aol.com.
Thanks,
Russ
