I would appreciate any information on these families who intermarried and had migrated to Medina Co. from the Litchfield, Conn. area 1830-1840.
Briefly:
ALEXANDER MCKENZIE (b. in Nova Scotia or Scotland ca 1785) and his (2nd) wife Melissa. According to family tradition, his first wife was Eliza Sperry. He is in Medina Co. on the 1840 Census.He was a woolen manufacturer in Litchfield, Conn. Supposedly, Alexander had a large family, but only these three, EDWARD ROBERT , ABIGAL, and JENNETT have been identified, and were in Medina Co. though 1870.

Edward Robert McKenzie (a physician) b. ca. 1820 in Conn., md. 1st, Lucinda Jones - they had 5 children on the 1850 Grafton Townshp., Lorain Co. Census. On the 1860 Medina Co. Census, he must have been divorced from Lucinda and he is married to Ellen and has a new son, Charles. Lucinda and children are still in Grafton, Lorain Co. in 1860. According to family lore, he married several more times.

Abigal Mckenzie married Lester Ward, and her father Alexander Mckenzie and his wife are living with her family on the 1850 Litchfield, Medina Census. By 1880, the Wards are living in Fulton Co., Ohio.

Jennett McKenzie md. Russell Brooker and they are on the 1850, 1860, 1870 Litchfield, Medina Co. Census. Jennett is a widow on the 1880 Census and appears to be living with her daughter Martha Sears.
