I have very little information about my family. I am african-american with a lot of McKee's in Mississippi (Hickory, and Meridian). I am aware the McKee is not a traditional african name, so there is a possibility that my ancestors were given this name. I would like to trace my heritage as far back as possible including the slave days. I am just very interested in knowing and learning more about my family history and who i might be related to, not just to satisfy my curiosity but to find out health conditions that might run in the family. I am a twin and I do know that my grandfather, Leo McKee, from Hickory, MS was a twin-he is deceased. However, his sister is still alive and living in Hickory to this day. She is in her 80's.
