Does anyone have a clue to the McKee family who lived in Kilkeel in 1st half of 19th century and may be related to these two names? Thomas McKee was b. 1822 in County Down, Ireland. Hugh McKee was b. in 1826 and, according to his 1903 obituary, came from Kilkeel. Since Thomas McKee's family is in the U. S. 1860 census living with or near Hugh McKee in Story County, Iowa, I am assuming they are related. Thomas McKee and his family finally settled near Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio. Thomas McKee is my gg grandfather. Any leads would be appreciated!
