I'm looking for the parents of John McKee, as well as Robert, William, David and possibly others, who immigrated from Down and/or Antrim in Ireland to Pennsylvania and Virginia in the 1730s. Based on the genealogies I have seen, there seems to be a division of opinion as to whether their parents were John McKee/Marjory Stewart, William McKee/Miriam Brown, Alexander McKee/Elizabeth Gordon or some combination thereof. But I have seen little evidence substantiating any of these pedigrees. Does anyone have a reason to prefer one suggested set of parents as the correct one?
