Charles McKee was the son of Martha "Mattie" Hart and her husband Patrick McKee who lived in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia (49 West Loudin Street). According to the 1910 Census, Mattie had a child who died, probably after their son, Charles, was born. Charles' father, Patrick, was listed as a railroad inspector in the 1910 census; Patrick worked for Reading RR. The last address for Patrick McKee was 116 West Seymour Street in Philadelphia. Funeral at St. Francis de Assisi in Philadelphia, buried at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania. Member of Holy Name Society, St. Vincent de Paul Society, 22nd Ward Democratic Club. Charles is also buried at the Holy Sepculchre Cemetery in Section O, Range 11, Lot 1. Charles attended Villanova University but dropped out to pursue career in theater. Charles marred Elenore Farrel (date/place unknown) and they had the following children: Sally, Paul, Martha Jane, Mary, David and Charles Joseph.
