This thread has been going on a long time and I really only noticed it because Appleton is such an unusual name, I never thought I had a connection.
I may very well have a connection. My ancestor, Hubbard McKee born about 1817, I have found in numerous census records for Adams or Johnson County, New York. I have recently discovered him in family trees as the son of Chester McKee, born 1789, and son of Appleton McKee, born 1760.
Can anyone confirm this? Do you have any proof Hubbard is the son of Chester or do you know where I might look.
