Hi, While looking for my McTyre family I found this in a book: "York County, VA Deeds, Orders, Wills, Etc" abstracted and compiled by John Frederick Dorman.
Hugh Mackentear hath judgment per nihil dicit against Mrs. Eliz: Roan in an action upon the case for all the estate to her belonging as administratrix of her husband Charles Roan as per assignment under her hand, returnable to the next Court for confirmation if shee then faile to appeare. This is on a page before the date 17 July 1690.
Next is a list (but not in the same court) of "whoe were sworne to make due and true presentment of all such matters as were given them in charge, to enquire twice yearly in this County and to serve untill another jury be appoynted. 7th on the list of 14 is Mr. John Mackintree. This ends with adjourned until 24 September next. The next date is 26 Aug 1695.
