My great-grandmother, Mary Ann McGovern, emigrated from Ireland in the 1800's. Her death certificate lists her birthdate as Feb. 17, 1866 and I was told that she was from County Cavan (unfortunately there were no birth records for her so I suspect the birthdate may be incorrect). Her father was Patrick and her mother was Mary.

Mary Ann married William Hulbig, a german immigrant. They had four children: James, George, May, and Rose.
