James A. Patterson and A.G. Myers, two leading licensed white traders who opened stores in the Creek country before the Civil War and who were active in the development of the Creek country in the postwar years, both had children with African Creek women. James A. Patterson fathered James E. Patterson (Joseph P. Davidson's half brother) with Julia Gibson, and A.G. Myers, fathered John A. Myers, who was one of Isparhecher's lieutenants during the Green Peach War.
