James Geddes McDougal's mother was Jane McDougal of Peterhead. Jane never married, but had 5 illigitimate children to 4 different men. (Peter, James G, Isabella Taylor, John Taylor, & David Robert) All 5 were McDougals, the middle name Geddes was after his father James Geddes, and the middle name Taylor was after Jane's sisters husband John Taylor who they lived with.
