Margaret, I haven't worked on this line for a few years now. Isabel Ritchie (McDougal) is my wife's friend and I was looking into the line for her. James Geddes McDougal, born 21 Nov 1867 in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire. His mother was Jane McDougal and on his birth certificate it shows his father as David Waters. David was born in 1845 in Edinburgh and his father was the Lighthouse Keeper at the Buchan Lighthouse is nearby Boddam. Jane McDougal had 4 children, all out of wedlock and the children all took her name (McDougal).
