Hello, I am in need of HELP!! I am searching for any information on my 3rd Great Grandfather John McDevitt born about 1838. I believe that he left Ireland in 1860 on a ship called 'Zered' out of the port of Londonderry, arriving in Philadelphia, PA.

Once in the United States he married Margret McCormick and he went by the nickname of "Red". If anyone can point me in some direction as to where to go to find out more about 'Red' I would appreciate it. I am traveling to Glenties this summer and would love to be able to track down more information then.
