Hi everyone. I am Albion's Historian (Albion, Michigan, Calhoun County) (NOT RELATED). Here in the Albion-Homer area there was an historic McCutcheon family that came here from Dryden, New York. Rensseler McCutcheon (d. may 20, 1880) came here in the 1840s with his wife Elvira (Bishop) (1819-1896). Their son Arza McCutcheon (1855-1920) was a real estate and insurance agent, and was Mayor of Albion in 1897. Arza had a beautiful Victorian home built here in Albion which is still standing. We also have a photo of him. There was another son Orrin A. McCutcheon (1849-1912) The McCutcheons clan are buried in Riverside Cemetery here in Albion, Michigan. Hope this information helps. --Frank Passic, Albion Historian. E-mail: albionfp@hotmail.com
