My grandfather was George Thurston McCutchan and he graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1933. My father is Michael Vincent McCutchan and his twin sister is Rose McCutchan Northrop. They have a younger sister named Mary Francis McCutchan. They are all alive and well. My fater and Aunt Mary Francis both reside in Annapolis, MD as I do and my Aunt Rose lives in Washington, PA. My father recalls his Uncle Gilbert from a very young age. My father was only 7 when my grandfather died off of Honolulu while trying to land on his aircraft carrier. Before that time they lived all around the world, including 2 years in Shanghi, China prior to the start of WWII. My grandmother was Katherine Holland McCutchan, she died in 1966 of MS. I have been to McCutchanville, IN once and met my great-uncle Harold, which I believe is Bill's father. I was only about 5-6 years old. My father has momentos of his faters from the academy, but I don't know much about his childhood or how he ended up at the academy. If you have any stories, I'd love to hear them.
