It is exciting to find someone else researching this family! Osburn H. McCreight was a son of John R. and Margaret Thompson McCreight, who were in Tipton, TN 1850 Census. My aunt married one of Osburn H. McCreight's grandchildren, John Will McCreight, born 1904. When I was young, there even was a "McClanahan & McCreight grocery store in our community. For several years he and his brother, Alex Miller McCreight, lived with their wives near my parents house in Memphis, TN. I knew them well. John and Mary didn't have any children, but Alex had a boy and a girl. Both children still are living near Memphis, TN.
