Janet McCrae - abt.1850 d/o Andrew McCrae and Margaret McFadyen

Classification: Query
Surnames: McCrae, McFadyen, Williamson
Janet McCrae was my 2 x great grandmother who married James Williamson in Glasgow in 1869. I can assume by census records that she was born in either 1849 or 1850 in Dumbartonshire, Scotland. I have been unable to find any record of her birth but I know from her marriage certificate that her parents were Andrew McCrae and Margaret McFadyen who were married in Maybole, Scotland in 1933. This seems to be correct because in the 1861 census Margaret is listed as born in Maybole, Ayrshire. Andrew is listed as born in Leswalt, Wigtownshire, Janet is listed as scholar (student) aged 11 born in Dumbartonshire and an older brother Hugh aged 17 born in Lanark - Glasgow. I have been unable to find any record of Hugh's birth as well. It would be wonderful to find out how many siblings Janet actually had and learn of their individual paths. Janet's parents were both listed as deceased on the 1869 marriage certificate but I haven't located any death registers for either Andrew or Margaret so I would like to find those in the hope of learning their mother's maiden names. With that information I should be able to trace the previous generation and hopefully all of their siblings too.
Any help or information greatly appreciated.
Yours sincerely,

Tim Edwards
