There has been a lot of research done on our branch of the McCracken family tree. We can trace back to 1750 era in Pennsylvania to the current date. I am looking for an Elaim McCrackin.
Also spelled Elam McCracken.
Also know as Elam G. W. McCracken.

I have read that a McCracken sold George Washington some land, he moved to PA. Indians killed him and took his daughters. Daughters later excaped. I read somewhere that Elam was an illegitimate child, so therefore, maybe she named him as she was named "McCracken".
I am reaching for anything which possible takes Elam back another generation. That is why I am looking into the G.W. connection, but without a lot of luck.
Elam McCracken eventually move to Marion County AR.
