Hello family! I am the greatgranddaughter of Frank McCracken and Mary Reid. I am so glad I found someone who has some information.
My G-grandfather Frank was born in Abingdon,Va. in 1848. Married Mary Reid, had all the children you mentioned, but you left out my grandmother Ella who was born in 1894.
Frank and Fulton went to Neb. to work on the railroad and later sent for the whole family and lived and died in Kennard.
There house is still standing. I live in W.V. now, but my aunt and brother visited Kennard 2 years ago and found their home.
We were not sure if our GG-grandfather's name was Hugh, or not. Have been searching for Frank's ancestry. Please let me know how far back you have been able to go.
We used to visit Sarah and Dervy frequently. Grandma Ella married Walter Nielsen. My mom was Dorothy Nielsen Decker. Grandma and grandpa lived in Omaha and that is where I was born.
This is so exciting!
I have a cousin in Colo. Jerry McCracken. He was John's son. Have lost touch with them, but intend to phone them later. We were both searching for more family history.
