Joseph Ware McCoy is my great, great grandfather. My mother is Lana Billingsley, daughter of Velma Viola McCoy Romines, daughter of Warren G. McCoy, son of Joseph Ware McCoy. Joseph, Warren and Velma are all buried at Caulksville Cemetery, Caulksville, AR. Joseph's birthdate is listed as 10 Mar 1852, death date as 8 Feb 1928 in the cemetery records. I've seen him attributed to two different sets of parents. John and Candacy McCoy, and Elijah and Harriet McCoy. Do you know which is accurate? I stumbled upon the grave of Candacy McCoy in a little, old cemetery near where I live while searching for someone unrelated to me. I'm rooting for John and Candacy to be the parents of Joseph just because of this experience. Any help would be appreciated.
