This Indenture made the 12th day of September in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and five, Between Doctor Elias McNamee and Elizabeth his wife of Fayette Township, Allegheny County and State of Pennsylvania of the one part and James McCoy of Robinson Township and County and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Doctor Elias McNamee and Elizabeth for and in consideration of seven hundred dollars ($700) lawful money of the United States of America paid by the said James McCoy to the said Doctor Elias McNamee the receipt whereof the said Doctor Elias McNamee doth hereby acknowledge and himself fully satisfied and paid hath granted, sold aliened, released and confirmed and by these presents doth bargain, grant, alien, release and confirm unto the said James McCoy his heirs and assigns all the Tract of Land situate lying and being on the Waters of Montours Run <alias> Robinson's Run late in Washington, but now in Allegheny County aforesaid called "Wilmington" which the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by Patent dated the 9th day of February Anno Domini 1791 granted to William Williams in fee, being the same Tract of Land which the said William Williams by Deed dated the 9th of March Anno Domini 1803 conveyed to the said Doctor Elias McNamee in fee.
Beginning at a white oak and running thence by Land of William Turner south 7 degrees west, 182 perches to a hickory; thus by Land of William Kirkpatrick north 88 degrees west 49 perches to a black oak; south 72 and 1/2 degrees 15 perches to a white oak; thence by Land of John Short, north 41 degrees west 82 perches to a white oak, north 67 and 1/2 degrees west 42 perches to an elm tree, north 8 degrees west 21 perches to a hickory tree by land of John McAdow; north 53 degrees east 104 perches to a white oak, north 68 degrees east 100 perches to a white oak, south 2 perches to the place of beginning. Containing 115 acres and allowance of 6 percent for Roads.
To have and to hold the above described Tract of Land Together with all its appurtenances and privileges thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining unto him the said James McCoy, his heirs and assigns,to the only proper use and behoof of him the said James McCoy, his heirs and assigns, forever. And the said Doctor Elias McNamee and Elizabeth his wife, the above described Tract of Land with its appurtenances from the legal claim Rights or Title of themselves of any other Person or Person whomsoever unto the said James McCoy, his heirs and assigns, forever shall and will warrant, honor and defend. In Testimony whereof the said Doctor Elias McNamee and Elizabeth his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written.

On the 12 day of September in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and five before me George Vallandigham one of the Commonwealth Justices of the Peace in and for Allegheny County aforesaid came the within named Doctor Elias McNamee and Elizabeth his wife (the within named Elizabeth wife to the said Doctor Elias McNamee being first examined apart from her husband) and acknowledged the within Indenture to be their Act and Deed and Desired the same might be Recorded as such according to Law. In Testimony whereof I have set my hand and seal the Day and year first above written -- George Vallandigham.

Orphan's Court - James McCoy Dec'd -- Estate
William McCoy, Alexander McCoy, Elizabeth McCoy and Mary Schooler late Mary McCoy, presented their petition that their said Father, James McCoy, lately died intestate leaving a widow, Rachael, and issue 8 children, to wit, William McCoy, John, James, Alexander, Hugh, Isaac, Elizabeth and Mary , since intermarried with William Scholler, of whom Hugh and Isaac are still in their minority; and that the said Intestate died seized in his demesne as of fee, of and in a certain messuage situate in the Township of Fayette in the County of Allegheny adjoining Lands of John McAdow, William Turner and John Short, containing about 115 acres and 45 perches with the allowance of 6 percent for roads with the appurtenances, and praying the Court to award an inquest to view the said premises and make partition thereof to and among the heirs and representatives of the said James McCoy dec'd if the same can be so parted and divided without predjudice to, or spoiling the whole, and if the same cannot be so parted and divided without predjudice to or spoiling the whole, the whole Item to value and appraise the same and to make return thereof according to Law.

11 May 1814 - Isaac McCoy, son of James McCoy of Fayette Township dec'd, presented his petition setting forth that he was a minor above the age of 14 years and that he had no person to take care of his person and estate and praying leave to chose a guardian. The prayer of the petitioner was granted and Jonathan Phillips being chosen by the petitioner is appointed by the Court as the guardian of his person and estate, until he arrive at the age of 21 years.
13 May 1814 - Writ of partition or valuation issued to be read. Retable to August Term 1814.
August 1814 - Property valued at $11.75 an acre, making in the whole $1268.02, so answers Wm. Woods, sheriff.
17 November 1814 - Rule that the Heirs of James McCoy dec'd shew cause on the 2nd Monday of January next, why the eldest son should not take the property at the valuation and that notice be served on these in the County of Allegheny or their guardian and the public notice be given in the Gazette for 4 successive weeks.
11 January 1815 - On proof having been made that the Rule and notice had been published in the Pittsburgh Gazette on the 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th day of December 1814 agreeably to the order, the original papers whereof were produced. The Court adjudged the property to Wm. McCoy, the oldest son of James McCoy dec'd.

This Indenture made the 26 day of September in the year of Our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and fifteen between William McCoy of the Township of Fayette and Jonathan Phillips his agent of the Township of Roberson (Robinson?) both of the County of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania aforesaid of the one part and Benjamin McVay of Fayette Township and County and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said William McCoy and Jonathan Phillips his agent for and in consideration of the sume of fifteen hundred and three dollars and five cents ($1503.05) lawful money to them in hand paid at the sealing of these presents the receipt thereof are hereby acknowledged by the said McCoy and Phillips and themselves fully satisfied and paid by the said McVay hath granted, sold, aliened, released and confirmed and by these presents doth bargain, grant, sell, alien, release and confirm unto the said Benjamin McVay his heirs and assigns all that Tract of Land....Conveyed to James McCoy in fee being also the tract of land which the Orphan Court of the County of Allegheny granted unto the above named William McCoy in fee as the oldest heir of the above named James McCoy dec'd....William (his mark) McCoy, Jonathan (his mark) Philips.
