What date were these people born or when did they live in PA? I possible have relative from there but the time frame I am looking for is the late 1700's. Also are you sure of the spelling of the last name?

I am sure about the spelling of McColley. The only birth date I have is for Alice Opal McColley, June 26, 1897. I have no other information about Elmer Amos McColley or his wife Jessie May White. I hope this helps! Thank you

Sorry, I don't have any information on these people. My family is from VA (supposedly)but we did have some information about PA. They may have lived there for a time. The furhter back we go we get different spellings of the name such as McCauley, McCawley that was my reason for asking. I wish you luck in your search.

I am descended from a Wells family of Fayette, Chester, Lancaster, Berks, Bucks Co in PA (they appear to have moved a great deal), who began migrating approximately 1780, traversing Virginia (where several sons were born), Kentucky, and then to Indiana.
I have just discovered that the middle name of one grandson was McCullea, McCruley or something similar. I am hoping this is a clue to the maiden name of the one unidentified wife in the group. Her first name was Mary (helpful, right?) and she was born between 1776 and 1780. She married (probably in current West Virginia or Eastern Kentucky) in 1797. Her family were probably of the Primitive Baptist faith or a similar dissenting religion.
If you have any clues or a direction you could point me in, I would be most appreciative.
