He enlisted in the American Revolutionary War in 1776 in Pa. and served till 1781 when he was discharged at Fells Point, Md. These McCarty's were from what we gather, Presbyterian. Justin died before August 1828, date of will probate, Washington Co. Ky. These McCarty's lived in Washington, Marion, Ohio & Daviess Couties in Kentucky. Many moved on to In., Il., Mo., Tx. & parts still unknown.
