My great grandfather Murtagh immigrated to Toronto,Canada around 1860.He was from County Cork. His father was Florence McCarthy and mother was Ellen McCarthy nee Broderick. Murtagh was a shoemaker. He married Bridget Mulholland in Toronto in 1865. Her parents were Patrick Mulholland and Ann McKernan from Ireland. Any connection or information greatly appreciated.
