Hi!

I'm seraching for David McBurney who married Ellen ? (probably Eleanor) According to the 1881 Census, David was living in Haldimand Co, Ontario, age given 61 which puts his birth about 1820, born in Ireland. He is widowed by this time. David & Ellen had a son named John McBurney born about 1845 died about 1870 who married Mary Fleming.

On the 1881 Census, David is listed with:

Sarah McBurney age 91, widow, born in Ireland
John McBurney age 49, married, born in Ontario
Mary Ann McBurney age 36, widow, born in Ontario
Elizabeth McBurney age 18, born in Ontario
Esther McBurney age 18, born in Ontario
Robert McBurney age 11, born in Ontario

Additionally, John McBurney (d 1870) & Mary Fleming (d 1876) had a son named John McBurney born 11 May 1867. He was just 9 when orphaned. I don't know what happened to him. I think he might have gone to live with an Aunt or Uncle - perhaps he is the John listed with Arthur & Selina McBurney from Huron, Bruce South on the census.
