I was looking for an Alexander McBean born about 1756, problem was I was looking in Inverness, I found this one son of Forbes MacBean, and Anne Thomas? Just so happens I have a retranscribed copy of an old Family history stating that George Bain's father Alexander Bean had taken George to Woolwich when he was a boy and they had dropped the Mac while there? this would be around 1780's , This Alexander MacBean matches up for almost everything, also found a brother named William Frederick MacBean. Any help with this is greatly appreciated Thank you Name changed from Bean to Bain around 1830's in New Brunswick Canada
