Am looking for info on MacBean and/or McBean family. My g g grandfather was Ludvig McBean and he came thru Chesapeke Bay and settled in Fl. Came over in 1800's. Wife's name may have been louis mims.

Ludovic McBean appears to be Lewis McBean, according to Census records. and Martha Louise is probably his wife Lula, according to Census records. I find no census records of Ludovic McBean.. But i know that Lewis McBean and wife Lula of Hope SC, had 5 children. John L, Jessie A.(Daughter), Maria Isabel, Frances Ellen, Sam R McBean. Census states Lula had 6 Children, but one died befor the census.
The Charlotte County, Florida, has a news paper write up on Isabelle McBean (Belle) Quednau and spouse Fred. There is also information in this paper about Isabelles Parents, but not much. Hope this helps

Hi Pam: I think I may be able to give you some information (if this posting is not too long ago!) Ludovic ("Lewis" in English) was born August 13, 1861 in Inverness, Scotland and died in Punta Gorda, Florida in 1940. He married Martha Maria Louise "Lulu" Mims. I am descended from his sister, Eliza MacBean. I can give you the names and birthdates of hix six siblings, his parents and grandparents if you would like to email me, or post here. Beverley

Bill, you emailed me with regard to the posting on the McBean Board of rootsweb. I have emailed you four or five times with respect to my MacBean family information. When I send it to etcrier.com the message comes back saying that "shaw cable is blacklisted by your provider" (?!) and when I send it to the MacBean website, it comes back first as "message delayed" and then "message timed out". I am really happy to work with you, but I don't know how, unless we do so on rootsweb? Beverley
