I just posted an old marriage announcement for William ALEXANDER, clerk (eldest son of Robert ALEXANDER of Dundee, Scotland) and Jeannie McBAIN, eldest surviving daughter of plasterer Colin McBAIN (formerly of Dundee, now of Sydney, Australia). They were married at the home of the bride's parents in Sydney by the Reverend George CAMPBELL, Congregational minister. This was scanned from an original issue (NOT microfilm!) of the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper dated July 21, 1887, and you can see it online here:
