Hi. I have a theory - and it is only a theory - that Donald and Margaret had to run away. The area around Kiltarlity is Grant country and (although I haven't been able to prove it) Margaret may well have been of the laird's family and therefore not allowed to marry Donald. She was also very young when they moved. Sadly, I haven't been able to get up to Kiltarlity to investigate the churchyard or church records and there are too many possibles in Scotlandspeople. Its very useful to know that Lauchlan was married twice, that might open up another avenue of research for me!
