Hi Linda
Thanks for clearing up who Helene is. I am really sorry to hear about Marion's son. Always sad to lose a child at whatever age. Is Marion still alive? The last I heard of her was from a man in Ballynahinch I spoke to on the phone - he was from one of the other McAuley families in the area - she had moved into a fold. That was a couple of years ago. I never actually met Marion but had a very animated conversation with her on the phone. She can certainly talk. Trish's sister Barbara and her cousin Rosemary (her uncle Pat's daughter) went to see Marion a couple of times.
It would be great if you mother had any recollection of those names but it may be lost in the mists of time. Though I think I have been able to find the reference to James's will on the PRONI website so I can maybe find it when I get to Belfast in July - though it is a devil to find these wills on the microfilm.
Did I ever mention that my sister used to work with Bobby Dodds McAuley's granddaughter in the Shankill Social Security office in Belfast. Her name was Hazel, daughter of Maureen. Your mother probably knows them. She is married to a minister and they have gone to live in England.
Regards to your mother.
David
