Does anyone else have McAllisters from Belturbet, County Cavan, Ireland? A possible cousin and I have two lines we're researching from that town/county:

1) My great-grandmother Mary Ann McAllister was born ca. August 1873 in Belturbet, County Cavan. Her mother was Ellen/Ella Green, and her father John McAllister. I only know of two siblings, Margaret and Agnes, and I have no other information about her parents. According to the 1900 census, Mary Ann immigrated to the United States in 1890. Margaret and Agnes came over too, but I don't know when. Mary Ann married Charles Augustus Burns, 3 February 1897 in St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton, New York. They had 10 children. Mary Ann died 30 October 1911 in Binghamton.

2) Doug Steward's great-grandfather, Daniel McAllister, was born 1 July 1872 to William McAllister and Mary McCroory. #6 Lower Bridge St., Belturbet, Co. Cavan, Ireland was his last place of residence prior to immigrating to NY ca. 1902. Family legend has it that Daniel was raised by aunts who owned a carriage trade. Daniel died 21 January 1944 in Brooklyn, NY.

Looking for other McAllister connections in Belturbet or Cavan generally.
