I am looking for information on my great grandmother Hattie L. McAbee and her siblings and her parents.

Hattie Lucretia McAbee b. April 18, 1887 around Trion Ga. they lived in Ark., South Carolina, Tenn. and Ga as a child.died June 20,1975 in Flint,Michigan... She married Martin David Stanfield in 1905 and they divorced and she married Russell A. Walton in 1932.

Pauline McAbee b. May 10, 1890

Alonzo Park McAbee b. Oct 9, 1890 d. in Lanett, Al. burried in the cemetery off the Lafeyette Hyway in Al.

One of these brothers died in one of the wars.

I am not sure where else to look since my Aunt died and she said that she was told that we are related to most of the McAbees in the upper part of Ga and the South West part of South Carolina. As well as the Stanfields in that area.

I noted this inquiry from 2002 that lists Alonzo Parks McAbee as born in AL; but rootsweb site with delayed registration of births Upson Co GA shows Alonzo b. 9 Oct 1889 in Catoosa Co GA s/o GW and Elizabeth Norman. Jerri.

Are you researching McAbee's? I am the great granddaughter of Hattie and I am only going by what some family members are trying to tell me. I am not sure of much right now. My husband is working on my computer and has not redone the family tree files as of yet. I can tell you that Hattie died in 1975 in Flint Michigan while living with my grandparents. Her only daughter. I would like any help that you might be able to give. Thanks!

I have Alonzo P. McAbee as dying in AL. He is buried in AL. to.

We are trying to find direct male descendants of the McAbee family of Spartanburg County South Carolina to participate in the McBee DNA Project. Currently we have four males from four different McAbee families who have completed the 37 marker test. They are perfect matches on the 12 and 24 marker tests which means that they are related. However when the test is expanded to the 37 marker test, none of them are an exact match. We need more participants in order to sort out the family relationships for the McAbee families of Spartanburg County South Carolina. According to his deah certificate Elisha was the son of Elisha McAbee (who was born in the Cedar Springs area of Spartanburg Co.) and Martha Bagwell (born in or near Glendale, SC) Amanda's death certificate gives her mother as Amanda Lawson. This is old but I am the ggg granddaughter of Lacey McAbee that was married to Isabella Beaty. Thanks for the info. Been trying to find out anything on Isabella Beaty.
