Those who descend from Col. Mayson may have interest in a new book [pub.2009] entitled "South Carolina 1775 - A Crucible Year." This is a documented [footnoted] history about SC leadership [rebels & loyalists] as they approached a break from Great Britain. Includes background data on those actively engaged with the SC Provincial Congress & Council of Safety to launch a rebel government. As a member of Congress & a man second-in-command of the rebel's Regiment of Rangers, Col. Mayson plays a significant role in 1775.

Book is available at Amazon, Borders Books or from the publisher, American History Imprints; 921 Lehigh Valley Drive; Franklin, TN 37069.
