My name is Blanca Iris Girona Perez and I was born in the Island of Puerto Rico . A large group of the Girona's came to Ciales, Puerto Rico and settle there. Now you will find the Girona family all over the the United States of America. Hope you find what you are looking for. I have a family tree in Ancestry named the Girona family tree and you will be able to get a lot of info about the Gironas there.

I am looking at the ancestry line of Maymi in Caguas Puerto Rico; My maternal grandfather was Gaspar Maymi Y Rosado married Blasina Camacho; my great grand father was Ramon Maymi Y Rodriguez married Eladia Rosaso Y Rivera;upon information and belief Francisco was my grand uncle but without any other information I an not sure if we are talking about the same individual(s). Have you done a DNA Test; with ancestry.com or have any other family information; I currently have a fews 100 individuals on the tree Maymi Y Rosado ; Maymi Y Rodriguez ; dating back to 1800 in Turbo Caguas and other that I have not jet place because I an first looking for conformation and cross references. I am not on Facebook or any other "social forum" I am slow at getting back by email but you can always reach me here or at drperez_1@netzero.net please list a subject since I do not open all the mail and none without subjects. My mother is from Dorado as well, she is Marilyn Maymi Sanchez, her father is Ramon Maymi Fernandez, son of Isaac and Ana, they live in Barrio Monterrey in Vega Alta. And my mother was raised by Ramon's Aunt Mauricia Maymí, who lives in Barrio Maguayo in Dorado.

My mother has one brother Ramon Maymi Sanchez, who also lives in Maguayo.

hello I've just ran into this website and your comment caught my eye. My partenal grandfather is also Maymi Rosado from Caguas. His first name was Ramon andhad married several times. Chances are that we are related. Before coming to the states I resided in Caguas and Gurabo.

my grandfather's name was Francisco Maymi.He passed away when my mom Maria Maymi was only 2 years old.Theyre from the Dorado,Vega Alta,Vega Baja areas.His full name was Francisco Maymi Olivo.I got to know several of his sisters,Beatriz Maymi Olivo, Juana Maymi Olivo, Lidia Maymi, and Esperanza Maymi Olivo.My mothers generation are Maymi Otero,my generation are Maymi Lopez(Lopez from Cayey) These Maymi's are all dark skinned,we are all mestisos(mixed)If you have any questions for me feel free to e-mail me.

well My father name is Pedro and he never got to meet his father . but he only maymi because his father didn't give him his last name which is Arroyo. This is the only reason why me and my brothers carried the Maymi name. We carried with pride and we even giving it to two aborted sister Isabel Marie Maymi and Luz Mercedes Maymi. So in the furture if you hear about them remember it was my parents who give them the name. and they also carried with pride. God bless all the Maymi's who live they live with respected and Honor and pride.

my father is Pedro Maymi . He got his name from my grandmother and we are the only family that carry the name Maymi, My mother told me she went to school with my father cousin who were Maymi's. My parents had seven children we are Priscilla ,Pedro, Ernest,Wilda (me) Wilbert, Rosemarie, the one who die was Merecedes Maymi. now write to me and let me know if we are family. and I know that my mother can give you more information also we are dark skin Maymi's . we are not white. but I can tell you that I did meet some white Maymi's . hope to hear from you soon

My grandfather's name was Pedro Maymi and he lived in Guanica and worked for the sugar cane factory there. He Married Antonia Acosta of Yauco. I dont remember what year he was born but I know he served in World War II and a cousin of my father's is on the vietnam wall Pedro Maymi-Martinez. This info is just to give you more info on the Maymi name.

My grandfather was Pedro Maymi from guanica and married Antonia Acosta of Yauco. I don't know if maybe my grandfather was related to yours but they might have been family.

I have been working on a family tree for over six years. I have discovered that the name in PR comes from about five individuals. What part of PR is your family from? Spain is the origian of the name to the best of my knowelage. I have been tooking for the name of the ship that the family came from that is the key. My name is Marielsa Maymi Rodriguez. Born to Angel Maymi (guanica P.R.) and Elsie Rodriguez (guayanilla P.R.) in San Juan P.R. I have traced my family to my father's grandfather. He's name is Francisco Maymi but when I summit the name in the S.S. website there are 2, F. Maymi Hernan (born 1893) and F. Maymi (born 1894) both in Puerto Rico. Now I'm living in Minnesota and I just get married. Please if you know any information about them e-mail me. I know of Maymi in Caguas, I heard that some where slaves and when they liberate them they obtain owr last name (really don't know how true that is). And in Mayaguez (related).
