Alexander is the son of George McDowell, born in Scotland in 1748. David lived and worked in Norwhich, NY.He was a black smith by trade and made the hammer for himself. The hammer was manufactured from 1840 to 1939. I have some nice articles if you are interested. Her married name is Alba. I think her mother's name was Kim (deceased). <br><br>Robert has a sister living in San Diego - Phyllis Cole.
