I really did not expect to get a response from someone on this. I would be more than glad to exchange information with you. I have some. I have just recently started to investigate my ancestory but have had limited success. I have had problems with the research I've done (not that I've done much). If we are truely cousins then nice to meet you. And even if you're not maybe you could help me with some research and it's still nice to meet you.

A little introduction, I'm Leonard E. May Jr. my father is the Senior (of course). My father has a brother name Paul Frances May born March 5, 1922. By the way Paul May has a daughter Starr May that lives here in western NE. He is married to Dorathy (Burkholder) May. They have 5 children and they are Larry Franklin May, Brenda Yuvon May, Sheila Ava May, and Gregory Paul May (Died Aug 16, 1956 of a bi-cycle accident). Paul is the son of Jess May and Nellie Rasnick Newcomb May. Paul is one of seven children and they are Harold Raymond May, Edith Marie May Runyon these two live in an elderly residential community in Hunington, WV.) Jessie Bernice May Craig (Golconda, Illinois), Doris Aileen May Coleman (near St Augustine, FL) Leonard E. May Senior (Spotsylvannia County, VA.) and Ruby Lee May Runyon (Hunington, WV). Jess May my grandfather also had another daughter from a previous relationship (marriage) named Eleanor Mae May Gibbs (died - can't immediately find date).

I live in Bellevue, Nebraska and I have been in the U.S. Air Force for 18 years. My wife is Denise Kay Waylett May and we have a son Quinnton Kingslee May (21 Aug 97). I have a sister and brother Tina Marie May (29 Sep 65) and James Allen May (16 Aug 68). Tina lives in Georgetown KY, and James lives in Spotsylvania, VA.


I hope this will give you something to compare. I'm willing to send you copies of everything I have. Maybe some of this information will provide a link between us. My father was born in Catlettsburg (?spelling) but lived in Ashland. If you are not related maybe you could assist me in your area because my May family is from the local area.
