I have started a Mauldin DNA project at FamilyTreeDNA (FTDNA). I would love to have anyone with a Mauldin (Maulding, Maulden, Malden) ancestor who has done a DNA test join this project. I want any and all DNA tests, yDNA, mtDNA and autosomal or atDNA. This includes the AncestryDNA test, Familyfinder and 23andme.

FamilyTreeDNA is currently offering free transfers of autosomal tests done by Ancestry and 23andme (V3 test only). You get your first 20 matches for free, but you can unlock the rest for free if you refer 4 of your matches and get them to upload. You can also opt to pay a $39 fee to unlock all of your matches. This is a great opportunity to get your results into another database AND get access to tools for free. I don’t know if the option to transfer free will last forever so please take advantage of this opportunity.

I have done extensive research on the Mauldin family and documented it at my public tree here at Ancestry. I have great hopes that DNA analysis will help us determine who our true ancestors are.
