We carry the Mash last name,My Dad's DNA is on the Marsh Family DNA Projects,#A107.He matches 4 other Marsh's which confirms the Mash and Marsh is one in the same.

I was just tripping through Google,typed in my name and found this post. The gravestone is mine and next to mine is my husband's. We purchased them because our firtborn son died after 16 hours of birth and is interned there. Why have you photographed this burial site? Just curious.

I just realized that the death certificate I found on the Missouri Archives site is for Bessie, Roxy's daughter, who died after childbirth. I wondered if the baby survived. I guess you gave me that answer and I did not realize it! I have a picture of baby twins labeled Bessie and Jesse. It was among my great-grandmother Bessie's things. Hi! I remember Tom faintly and even have a picture of him in his last years, among other pictures, all belonging to my great-grandmother, his sister Bessie. I remember him having dark black hair even though he must have been well into his 70s, at least, when I met him a couple of times when I was a kid. Which should tell you that I am now in my forties, by the way. My ever-changing email is now catlady1412@sbcglobal.net. My husband is a computer nerd forever searching for newer and better Internet services so it changes from time to time. Would love to hear from you!

I am the great grand daughter of Asa and Emeline Mash. I have some family information, but not much.

I've been to Asa and Emeline's old homeplace in the Summersville area many times as a child. But have never met either of them (I'm 50)

My grandfather is their son Tom, who married Lola Anderson.

I am looking for information on a Willie Mash (born about 1907) who I believe was married to Clay Archie Mason Adams. I understand that she was from Hillsboro, Coffee Co, TN. Her children’s names were: Betty Sue Adams, Billy Web Adams, and Peggie Ann Adams (died when baby).

I was originally told that her name was “Bill March” but from Peggie's death certificate, I have gotten the name Willie Mash. She and Clay lived in Franklin County, TN, in the 1930 Census with Clay’s father A.L. Adams. If I have found the correct family, her parents were John B. & Katie S. Mash. Siblings listed in census: Lula B., Leslie, Lora, Ada, Beatrice, and Alva. In 1910 and 1920, they were in the 7th District of Coffee County, TN.

I am not tracing the Mash family, but rather the Parker family. Clay Adams mother was Martha Isabell (Parker) Adams. Willie would have been Clay’s second wife. As I understand, she died when the children were young.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have found them listed in the 1880 US CENSUS RECORD for Union Twp., Benton County, Missouri. I am unalble to find this couple or their children anywhere else or in any other Census Record. I am sure that the children have married but no idea to whom.

Any help will be Greatly Appreciated. As my heading states, the may be listed as MASH - MARSH or even NASH.

I am looking for any information about William and Sarah Darnell Mash. William was born in Ashe County, NC and married my g-aunt Sarah Darnell (Darnold?) in Russell County, VA 11-14-1893. Reason I'm interested in William is that he married my Aunt Sarah. She was illegitimate and I'm hoping to find someone who can at least tell me if her maiden name was Darnell or Darnold, it's in the Virginia State Census both ways. They both died in Princeton, WVA (don't have the date of their deaths).

Did you ever find any one knowing who Asa and Emeline's parents were? I tried to email you and tell you but to no luck. Plus you said your sister has a picture of Emeline and her children but it is badly faded. Did you ever get it? I have one and i would love to see if it is the one I have. i have some information and am willing to share. You also was in touch with a Michael mas once, do you have a new or good email on him? Any chance this Henry Mash had a son named Asa? I just found out my gr gr grandfather Asa's father was a Henry from NC, and my grandmother told me Asa's mother was 100% Indian (unknown tribe). Any info would be appreciated. I am a little stalled on this.

Hi! I am Bessie Mash Stoops' great-granddaughter, who was Roxie's sister. I was unaware he was ever sheriff of Shannon County, so I cannot add anything to that but if you look at posts for Asa and Emeline Mash, you may find some people who do know more than I do about him.

I am an 8th. generation descendant of Ann Mash/Marsh. I have been trying to find the transcript for her trial, but have not been able to locate it. Fortunately my family were a family of storytellers, so i have a fair amount of information about her and my line of her family - via Ann Eliza Chapman, father William Chapman mother Ann Marsh/mash.
I would like to find out a little about her before her trial - occupation etc. before i commence to write the story of our family here in Australia. Can you help at all?

Does anyone one have any info on a William Mash born abt. 1790-1800 who lived in Mason Co., Virginia (which is West Virginia now) Census in 1840 has him listed as Thomas and the earlier census has him as William. (I am sure this is one and the same person) Or, a linage of Mashes from Va., or North Carolina making their way through West Virgina towards Ohio.

Joseph living at Goswell Street Islington. His daughter Mary married on 27.5.1838. Witnesses were Ann SMITH ( think nee Mash) and Alice MASH.

Mary married a Joseph Francis WOOD (Wheelwright) and they had a least one daughter Mary Ann Frances who was my GGM. Lots of Mash' around London Clerkenwell area around this time.
