I am in need of evidence that Susannah Martin (1786-1876) was the oldest daughter of Ephraim Martin (1761-1828) who lived first in NJ, moved to Washington County PA, then Athens County Ohio. Have probate record the mentions no heirs as his estate was sold to pay creditors. Ephraim's wife Deborah is not mentioned either. Susannah married Abraham Hanes May 24 1804 at Middle Creek Island, VA. Cannot find verification of this date other than in family posts. Middle Creek Island was part of Ohio County VA, now Ohio County WV. Hoping someone has a marriage record that shows who Susannah's parents were as she was 17 at the time of the marriage, her birthday being in July. I am also interested in a birth record if available. This particular Ephraim Martin was the son of Lt. John Martin of Somerset NJ and should not be confused with Col. Ephraim Martin. Any help or suggestions for further research are greatly appreciated.
