J.R. Martin Dies
The sad news of the death of Mr. J.R. Martin, of Greenville, Ky., was received this morning in this city by his son, Mr. Guy Martin. Mr. J.R. Martin was a prominent businessman of Greenville and was well known in this city, having visited here many times. He was 62 years old and was born and reared at Greenville. The cause of Mr. Martin’s death was pneumonia. He had been ill only two weeks. He is survived by a wife and three children, Mr. Guy Martin, of Paducah; Mrs. Claude Baker and Mr. C.M. Martin of Greenville; a sister, Mrs. Sue Anthony, and a brother, Mr. W.A. Martin, both of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Martin, Mrs. Sue Anthony and Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Martin left on the noon train today for Greenville and will remain until after the funeral tomorrow.
