I am looking for help connecting my ancestor, Nathaniel Martin (b. abt 1808 in NY), to other Martins in Cayuga County, NY, particularly in Fleming. He was next door to a Joseph Martin in Fleming in 1830. He bought land in Troy, Oakland County, MI in 1831. He lived there for a few years and then moved to Salem Twp, Washtenaw County, Michigan, where he died. His wife's name was Almena, and they had the following known children: Polly Ann, Joel N., Abbey Sophia, Edward S. (m. Elizabeth Morrison), Marietta, Sally, Julia, and Anne.

There are several other Martin families who migrated to Oakland County from Cayuga County during the same time frame. He could possibly be related to a John Martin born in Fleming in 1797 who married Margaret Dickinson who also came to MI in 1831.
