I, and others, have hit a brick wall trying to research my Marler ancestors. We cannot locate the parents of James N. Marler who was my great grandfather (b. 24 Oct 1861 in Mississippi & died 2 Nov 1832 in Castor, Louisiana & is buried in Social Springs Cemetery, Hall Summit, Louisiana).

James was married first to J. Isabel Smith b. 1865 & had 5 children:

Minnie Elizabeth Marler 1884-1916
William James Marler 1885-ABT 1960 (my grandfather)
Dollie E. Marler 1888-1967
Callie M. Marler 1890-1891
Grover Thomas "Govie" "Guvie" Marler 1891-?

Married second to Virginia E. "Jennie" Davis 1867-1915 and had 4 children:

Mable Maver Marler 1898-1970
Ittie I. Marler 1900-1902
Hugh Lee "Hughie" Marler 1902-1963
Jennie Bell Marler 1904-1910

Married third to Josie H. Maiden Name Unknown 1866-1932. She died 20 Nov 1932 in Castor, Louisiana.
