My great grandmother was Narcissus Barber Marler married to Emmanuel Marler of Johnston County NC. I'd love to know any more information about Emmanel's trek to the south after the Civil War, his background in New England, and Cissy's heritage. I understand she has Choctow roots. My cousin told me has found an ancient picture of our early Native American ancestor. Do you have any information about this?
