ROY MARKLEY
Minneapolis relatives received word last week of the sudden death of Roy Markley which occurred February 28 at his home in Eureka, California, due to a heart attack.
The deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Markley and was born August 30, 1896, at Wells, Kansas. When he was a few months of age, his parents moved to the farm west of town where they lived for many years and where Roy grew to manhood. He attended the city schools here and has many friends who regret his early demise.
In February of 1924, he went to Medford, Oregon, where he lived a few years.
On May 16, 1927, he was united in marriage with Miss Vivian Elizabeth Tetherow at Crescent City, California, who survives him. He also leaves his daughter Queenie who lives in Montana; his father Henry Markley; one sister, Mrs. Otto Behrendt and three brothers, Henry, Len and Charlie all of Minneapolis.
Funeral services and burial were at Eureka.
(Roy was previously married to may Parsons in 1915. She was the mother of his daughter, Queenie Markley Whoms.)
