I'm looking for the ancestors of Lina Markham born 1860 and died in 1904. Her parents were James Markham and Janet Ingram. Janet was born 31 March 1831 in Scotland. Lina married Frances Hunt. Frances born 4 October 1845 and died October 1924. Lina and Frances descendants settled in the western half of Massachusetts and eastern part of New York. They may have come from Connecticut. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe that Janet Ingram Markham was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Ingram who immigrated from Scotland in 1844 with their two daughters, Isabella and Janet (sometimes spelled Jennette) and settled in Richmond, MA. William and Elizabeth were listed in the MA census of 1850 residing in Richmond and he was listed as a blacksmith. He died in either 1886 or 1887 and she died in 1884. Isabella married George W. Phillips who was born in Pittsfield. George and Isabella had 5 children (Margaret, William, Harriet, Emerson and Ellen) before Isabella died at age 40 on 5/31/1865. George married Fannie Shaver in 1867. Isabella is the great, great grandmother of my husband. Hope this helps. I do have more information on the descendants.
